Q: Where is your production located?

A: Dr.Maya® is a Turkish brand. It was started by two Turkish engineer brothers. Every stage of our products reflects a Turkish engineering approach and design vision. Our products are designed by Turkish engineers. They are made to be strong and long-lasting. Our Turkish engineering team manages every step of the process, from design and quality control to choosing the raw materials and supervising production.


We make our products at our factories in China, one of the world's largest manufacturing hubs. We keep our high standards for quality and durability. As a local brand, we also manufacture wooden accessories, pans, trays, clay casseroles, and various kitchenware in Turkey. This helps us support the national economy by creating jobs. For us, making good products and keeping our customers happy are always our top priorities.

Q: Do you have a store where people can go in person? I'd like to visit and see the products in person. Can you share your address?

A: As Dr. Maya® | Home Cooking Excellence, we serve our customers through our digital stores and warehouse offices. We make sure that shopping with us is easy and comfortable by running our online store from our warehouse-office in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Turkey. We are also planning to launch a warehouse-office in Germany very soon for our logistics operations in Europe. These warehouse offices let us prepare and deliver your orders quickly and safely.

Logistics & Delivery Process


Q: When will my order be shipped and delivered?

A: Orders are sent out within 24 hours on business days after the order is placed. On Saturdays, shipments are processed until 12:00 PM. Here are the delivery times: For the Marmara Region, Istanbul, and Ankara, the delivery time is 1–2 business days. For other regions in Turkey, the delivery time is 3–4 business days. Please note that delivery times may vary depending on the courier company's operations.


Q: Is shipping free?

A: Shipping is free for orders of $25 or more. If your order is less than $25, we will charge the standard shipping fee. And when you order a stone oven, shipping is always free. If you add accessories like trays, pide peels, or pizza peels to your oven order, we will combine them into a single shipment at no extra shipping cost.


Q: Will the product get damaged or will there be a problem during shipping?

A: Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machines are packed in at least two boxes. There is an inner box and an outer cargo box. The special protective covers in the inner box are designed to fully protect the oven from external impacts. We want you to know that we have done everything we can to make sure your product gets to you safely.


Q: Can my return shipment be picked up from my address?

A: Unfortunately, the shipping companies we work with can't offer home pickup right now. You will need to take the product to the nearest cargo branch we direct you to so you can make your return. Once we receive your order details, we will provide you with the necessary steps and information for your return process.

Q: What are the product dimensions?

A: Among our Dr.Maya® Stone Ovens, the Dr.Maya® Pro+ Stone Oven Machine has the highest interior volume. The Lahmacun Machine has a unique design that makes it great for cooking dishes like casseroles. However, its capacity is smaller than the Pro+.

Our ovens are designed to cook many different types of food. They can cook pastries like lahmacun, pizza, and many bakery dishes like trays and casseroles. These ovens have large cooking areas and can reach temperatures of up to 400°C.


Q: Can you tell me more about the stone base of the Dr.Maya® Stone Oven?

A: The stone surface is made from a strong and long-lasting ceramic material that has a hardness rating of 5.5–6 out of 10, which is much higher than the typical 2.5–3 range of standard ceramics. Our stones have been tested to make sure they can handle impacts, high temperatures, and sudden temperature changes. This makes them long-lasting and helps you cook well. At Dr.Maya®, we make sure that every detail is done well.


Q: Is the stone base of the Dr.Maya® Stone Oven removable?

A: Yes, the stone cooking base in the Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machine is removable. This feature makes cleaning easy and lets you use the oven for more things. You can clean the interior of the oven more easily by removing the stone surface. However, it is very important to remove and clean the stone correctly. After you finish cooking and let it cool completely, carefully remove the stone base. Natural stone materials are sensitive to sudden changes in temperature. Removing it when it is hot or putting it in cold water can cause it to crack. Cleaning should only be done with a damp cloth and without the use of chemicals. The removable stone base also makes the oven more versatile. If users want, they can remove the stone base and replace it:

  • Traditional cookware such as clay casseroles,
  • Steel or aluminum trays,
  • Various pans such as Teflon or copper depending on their cooking needs.

Thanks to this modular design, Dr.Maya® ovens are different from regular built-in ovens. They are multi-purpose, functional, and easy to use.


(Note: The stone base can be removed, which makes it easy to use, but it can also damage the stone surface if it is not handled correctly. For this reason, it must be handled carefully. Read the instructions in the user manual.)


Q: Will the stone base get darker over time?

A: It's normal for the stone surface of your Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machine to darken and change color over time. This change shows how the stone naturally changes and improves its cooking ability. The stone's porous structure absorbs moisture from food, which gives your dishes a unique flavor when cooked at high temperatures. As a result, the darkening that you might see as stains while cooking is just a natural part of the process. Over time, the whole stone surface will get darker, which will make your meals taste better.


Q: Does the Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machine have a fan?

A: Our Stone Oven Machines don't have fans in their heating functions. It gets heated up using two different types of resistance. The stone surface, made of naturally durable ceramic, distributes heat evenly, ensuring excellent results, especially for dishes made with dough.


The fan-assisted insulation system used in Dr.Maya® Stone Ovens is developed not to heat the ovens, but to prevent the high internal temperature from transferring to the outer surface. Right now, this system is only available for Dr.Maya® Stone Ovens in Turkey. This level of insulation is better than the insulation required by European standards, thanks to the careful design by our Turkish engineers.


Q: What is included in the box? Are peels and trays included with the machine?

A: We know that everyone has different needs, so we don't include trays and peels with the Dr.Maya® Pro+ Stone Oven Machine. Different types of peels are used for making pide, pizza, or bread, and different sizes and types of trays are preferred for casserole dishes or other dishes. However, the Dr.Maya® Multi Stone Oven Machine includes a pair of wooden peels, as it is specifically designed for lahmacun. This approach lets us offer our customers affordable options to become stone oven owners. It also lets them choose the kitchen accessories that best suit their needs.


If you're looking for stone oven-compatible trays, casseroles, or peels, you can find our specially handcrafted pizza and baking peels made from beech wood in our stores.


Q: Is it possible for the Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machine to reach a temperature of 400°C?

A: Yes, our products can reach temperatures up to 400°C. All temperature tests have been conducted, and our products work perfectly at these temperatures. For example, thin dough products like lahmacun cook in about 2.5 minutes at 400°C. Our product is known for its ability to cook quickly. Also, because it is small, it heats up much faster than regular ovens:

  • It reaches 300°C in about 9 minutes,
  • It reaches 400°C in about 15 minutes.

This feature makes it much faster and more efficient than traditional ovens, making it an excellent choice for quick cooking.

Q: Is the cooking surface made of real stone or Teflon?

A: The cooking surface of the Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machine is made of genuine stone and contains no Teflon or similar coatings. The surface is crafted from high-strength, specially formulated ceramic stone.

Stone Surface Features:

Our stone surface is a high-resistance ceramic with a hardness level of approximately 5.5–6 out of 10. In comparison, standard ceramic typically has a hardness of around 2.5–3. Furthermore, our stones are tested for impact resistance, high heat endurance, and thermal shock durability — ensuring long-lasting performance and healthy cooking.


Q: Is the stone made of chamotte

A: Dr.Maya® Stone Ovens use high-strength ceramic stones, not chamotte. Below are the main differences between chamotte and high-strength ceramic stone:

  • Thermal Shock Resistance: The stone used in Dr.Maya® Stone Ovens offers significantly higher thermal shock resistance compared to chamotte. This means it can better withstand sudden temperature changes, which is esssential for stone oven performance and flexibility.
  • Typical Uses: While chamotte is commonly used in refactory brick production and certain ceramic applications, high-strength ceramic stones are preferred for baking stones and industrial kitchen equipment.
  • Physical Characteristics: High-strength ceramic is generally lighter and more durable, making it ideal for portable ovens and cooking surfaces.
  • Cost: High-strength ceramic stones are typically more expensive than chamotte due to their complex and costly production processes.

In short, high-strength ceramic is favored in modern cooking applications, while chamotte is used more often in traditional and refractory uses.

A: Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machines are covered by an official 2-year warranty starting from the date of purchase. Additionally, we guarantee spare part availability for 10 years. During this period, we are committed to supporting you with any part needs related to your product. Q: I would like to return my product. What is the return process? I want to exchange my product. How does the exchange process work?

A: In the event of a defect with your product, our technical support process is simple and customer-focused. Our service and R&D center located in Istanbul is at your service. To ensure your return is processed smoothly and quickly, please follow these steps:

  1. Report the Issue: Share the isssu you're experiencing along with clear photos of the product. This helps our technical team conduct a preliminary assessment.
  2. Service Approval: If service is deemed necessary after the initial review, we will ask you to safely pack the product in its original box with protective foam. If the original box is not available, we kindly ask you to use double-box packaging to prevent any damage during shipping. 
  3. Shipping Process: We will provide you with a repair/replacement label and a shipping label. Please attach the shipping label visibly on the box. When handing the product over the courier, inform them that it is in "Integrated Label Return" and provide the "Shipping order Code". Once completed, you may send us a photo of the package. Our partnered courier service will then deliver the product directly to our service center.
  4. Maintenance and Repair: At our service center, you product will be throughly inspected and necessary repairs will be carried out. All services covered by the warranty will be completed free of charge.
  5. Product Return: After repair and maintenance, the product will be returned to you in like-new condition and ready for use.

Q: Can I return the product if it has a defect or issue?

A: In accordance with Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and the Regulation on Distance Contracts, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. Please note that in order to exercise your right of withdrawal, the product must remain in its original condition and resaleable state.


Important Information on Returns and Right of Withdrawal:

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify the SELLER in writing within 14 (fourteen) days via registered mail, fax, email, or another method indicated by the SELLER. Additionally, the product must not fall under the category of "Products Exempt from Right of Withdrawal" as outlined in the contract. The product must be unused and in its original condition for the right of withdrawal to apply. This means the product should not be used beyond checking its features and functioning under standard conditions.


For products such as electric kitchen appliances, any usage (e.g., cooking food) may affect the product’s resaleability, which limits the right of withdrawal. If the product has been used, it cannot be resold for technical and hygiene reasons, thus making a return legally and ethically unacceptable. However, your satisfaction remains our top priority.


Q: What is the status of my refund?

A: In accordance with the Regulation on Distance Contracts, refunds related to the right of withdrawal must be completed within 14 days from the date the seller receives your withdrawal notice. We work closely with our internal teams to ensure this process is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Depending on the platform you used for purchase and the banking system involved, it may take a few business days for the refund to reflect in your account.

A: The inner height of the Dr.Maya® Pro+ Stone Oven Machine is 6 cm, and the Dr.Maya® Lahmacun / Multi Stone Oven Machine is 4 cm. These dimensions are specifically designed to create the ideal environment for baking items like pide, pizza, and other flatbreads at temperatures up to 400°C. However, with yeast-based doughs that rise significantly, there is a risk of contact with the upper heating element. For flatbreads like pizza or pide without much topping, we recommend using a thinner dough base. This not only reduces the risk of excessive rising but also ensures a more even and delicious bake.


Q: Can I place the pizza directly on the stone, or do I need to use a tray?

A: The Dr.Maya® Stone Oven Machine operates on the principle of a traditional stone oven. You can place dough-based items like pizza directly on the stone surface. This method gives your pizza a deliciously crispy crust. For moist dishes like meat, fish, or chicken, we recommend using the tray included with the machine. Things to Consider When Buying a Stone Oven

1. Internal Height Volume:

Traditional stone ovens are usually used for thin-dough foods like pizza and lahmacun. However, our Dr.Maya® Pro+ model has been specially engineered with a higher internal volume based on customer feedback. This lets you bake puffy items like bread or stuffed baked potatoes (kumpir) as well as flatbreads.


2. Upper and Lower Heating Element Control:

Make sure the model you choose lets you control the upper and lower heating elements separately. This is important to get the best results when baking different foods.


3. Stone Surface:

We strongly recommend choosing a stone surface made from high-strength ceramic that is unpainted and uncoated. The stone should be a natural material that is off-white or cream. Avoid stones that have been dyed, as they often contain chemicals.
